Raoul entwined his arm with Larisa's, and helped her to stand. Arnette bowed to Moro and said, " Of course," Though her eyes showed much sympathy for the others. Arnette walked throught the door, motioning for the others to follow. Raoul could just make out the lithe form of Rapier hidden in the shadows, and he felt very uneasy and confused. " I don't know what to make of this..." He whispered so only Sarah and Larisa could hear. " So Sarah's a Guardian, and she has the power to uncover a powerful stone of some sort, but how does Moro expect to get the other stones? The only Guardian she has is Sarah, right?" He whispered quickly, recieving a puzzled look from Arnette. " You know I wouldn't say anything to Moro, right? She may be my teacher, and she has my greatest respect, but I don't trust her one bit, and I as her student know how harsh she can be." Raoul looked at Arnette and after hesitating asked, " Do you know anything about these stones?" Arnette sighed, then said, " I only know of the story, I know nothing of Moro's plans- she keeps them to herself. " Raoul nodded. Just then, they walked into a huge hallway, with elaborately carved doors along the walls. Arnette slowly opened one of the doors, and motioned for the others to go inside. The room consisted of six king sized beds, and was very big. " This'll be your room. Your other friends will most likely be arriving shortly." Arnette said, flopping down on a bed. Rapier jumped up with her, and laid her snow white head on a pillow, closing here eyes. " Don't mind her- she's had a busy day, trying to escort you here and all." Arnette said, the look on her face expressionless. " So, what've you guys been up to? I'm sure you've had some action, I mean, you're kinda hard to miss." She said, mainly adressing Larisa.

Larisa took a breath and slowly eased off of Raoul. Once she was sure she could stand without shaking or falling she looked around the room. She made her way into further into the room that had one boarded up window and six huge beds. Along with those was an table with ten chairs and she made her way to one sitting down. "It was a load of fun. We had three assasings and a few ambushes...Oh and I have a group of people after me whom have a dragon. We had one of our friends killed by a horse and let's see what else happened which was fun..." she said sarcastically. The others walked into the room and she looked up at Conner who had an angry look on his face. "I apologize but Moro would have never allowed all of us in there and I needed Raoul to judge her power. Though it doesn't matter now that I felt it." she said before he could say anything. She motioned for the others to sit down at the table and she rested her head on her hand using the table to support herself. "About the stones I must admit I know a lot about them. I even know some of the locations and where some might be. The legend gives hints on where each stone is and it's possible that Moro searched untill she found the door to all of them. There are seven stones: Rane of Wildfire, Sage of Halo, Cye of Torrent, Keith of Hardrock, Lance of Strata, Norn of Pure, and Den of Shadow. Each greatly increases the person's magic strengh for whatever element the stone represents. Rane of Wildfire represents fire, Sage of Halo represents plants of the earth, Cye of Torrent is water, Keith of Hardrock is rock, Lance of Strata is air, Norn of Pure is light, and last is Den of shadow which represents darkness. Now this is exactly what the legend says: Torches of strength, sought by thee... Rane of Wildfire-Resting in a divine fire, without complaint of the flow Sage of Halo-In a dark prison of immense beauty...Yet sheds the light from all Lance of Strata-Lying beneath a swirl of dust, it waits patiently Keith of Hardrock-Buried in a kingdom of rock and stone Cye of Torrent-Floating among the ages, quietly in the stream of the sky Yet, two others remain unwillingly in the world of the mortals Norn of Pure-In the land of holy ground, in secret it remains Den of Shadow-Dead from all it lies between, still no sound from the living. The problem with the stones is that sometimes they change people to fit the element..." she said drawing in a breath and Will had a puzzled look on his face. "Why haven't I been told of all this?" he asked and Larisa sighed. "Only those of the Royal family know of this and the General." she said and Will frowned. "Now none of you have to come with us. The stones are protected by powerful spells and traps." she said looking each of them in the eye and Conner shook his head. "No way. We have been helping you so far and I'm not going to stop now." he said and the others nodded in agreement. "I see I cannot convince you otherwise. Then we should all freshen up for dinner. It should be interesting..." she said and got up. "I'm going to take a shower." she said grabing her pack and she went to the shower. Sarah groaned "Is it impossible for me to go anywhere without running into trouble?" she asked and Conner laughed. There was a knock at the and a guard came in. "Arnette Moro wants you now." he said and walked out of the room. A few minutes later Larisa came out in her old clothing her armor on. "I call the shower next." Sarah said jumping up and walking into the shower.

Arnette looked at Larisa and said, " If I get Moro's permission, I might join you as well, it sounds exciting. Gotta go now before I get yelled at." She said, smiling slightly as she left the room. She strolled quickly over to Moro's room, and knocked before she went inside. " Moro? You called for me?" She said, sitting down in a chair near the Boss Lady. Rapier opened an eye and realized that Arnette was gone. He raised his head, looked around, then fell back asleep. Raoul smiled at Larisa. " I like this version of you better." He said, strolling over to her and putting an arm casually around her shoulder. " I wouldn't let you leave without me, so yah. I'm going." He said, smiling. He bent down a bit and kissed Larisa on the cheek. "So, when are we leaving?" He asked, hoping they would get to rest first. Raoul suddenly started runnign around the room, and bouncing from bed to bed. Once he got to the bed with Rapier on it, he bent down and licked the dog's nose. Rapier- sleepy and confused- showed her teeth then fell back asleep. " I call after Sarah!" Raoul said, doing flips on the bed. He got off the bed and walked over to the sink, where he filled up a glass of water and drank it thirstly. He licked the dripping water off of his face, then sat down in a comfy chair. He brought out a book, and started to read it. (( RAOUL CAN READ?!))

Larisa stared mouth open at what Raoul just did and Will went up in fumes. "He is mine." he said below his breath and he unclutched his hands. He strode up to Raoul to challenge him to a duel when Sarah came out of the shower dressed in her usual clothing. She walked up to Raoul unaware of Will behind her and looked at the book Raoul was reading. She slowly took it from his hands flipped it over and put it back into his hands. "It was upside down." she said and laughed into her hand. "Showers ready." she said laughing still and went to her bed. Moro smiled crookedly at Arnette "I have a job for you. I want you to go with our friends to search for the stones," she took out a necklace with a blue stone on it "You will report to me every night, undestood. Good." she said and took out a map. "This is the map with the locations on it and you will leave tomorrow. Tell them and won't be able to attend dinner tonight," she said handing Arnette the map. Her eyes grew serious "Watch Larisa. I feel uneasy around her." she said which was a first since she never admitted things like this. Her eyes grew cold "Good luck. You may go." she said turning to her papers again.

Arnette took the necklace carefully in her hand, then quickly fastened it around her neck. " Thanks. I'll be sure to remember to report, and I'll have Rapier constantly watching Larisa, so it seems less obvious." She said, pushing a stray stand of dark blue hair back behind her ear. She bowed to Moro, and tucked the map into her pocket. Once outside in the hallway, she opened up the map to study it, and gasped. After gazing upon it for a minute, she put it into her black messenger bag. She was about to return to her room when she remembered two thinks. " I guess I should tell them that we're leaving tomarrow." She said, chuckling to herself. From habit, she knocked on the door before entering the room. " Hello again." She said, forcing a smile. " Moro has told me that we shall be leaving tomarrow. Make sure you're ready by then." She said, jumping on top the bed where Rapier lay. She laid down near the dog's head and said, " On the journey, I need you to keep a sharp eye on Larisa, okay?" Rapier opened and eye then closed it again. Arnette rolled her eyes then turned to the others. " So um...who was this friend of yours that was killed? I feel awfully sorry, but I admit I'm rather interested." She said, crossing her legs. She hated having to act like someone other than her real self, but she knew it would only be a while longer before she could relax once more. Raoul watched Arnette walk in, and said to Sarah, " I knew that- I was just testing you." He said, runnign into the bathroom when he saw the look on Will's face.

"Well we got into some trouble with a group who wanted to kidnap me and put up a ransom. We were fighting and Leon the man who was killed got knocked out. A few minutes later this black omen horse of some sort burst in and we all ran out. We forgot Leon, then the next thing we knew it he was being carried off by the horse. We tracked down the horse but it seems it knocked Leon from it's back breaking his neck." she said frowning at the thought that they left him "That's basically what happened." she added to Arnette. Cordon nodded as he started to play with his rose which was now orange and Sarah peaked over his shoulder. "That's a cool rose. I've never seen plant magic like this." she said and they got into a discussion on the abilities of a plant mage. Conner sat across the room his eyes closed and his face like a rock as he listened to what the others were saying. "How did you become Moro's assistant? Not to be rude but did you search her out to get stronger or what?" Larisa asked Arnette her face polite. Sarah tilted her head after what Cordon had said to her "I see. You should call dibs on the shower before Conner does." she replied smiling. Cordon laughed "No need. In the battles we had coming here I was doing magic from a distance so I'm not dirty." he said grinning and Sarah gave him a thoughtful glance. Clever in a way she thought as she crossed the room to where Conner was sitting. She stared at him a foot away and tried to figure out if he was asleep or not. "What is it?" he asked his eyes still closed and she jumped back surprised. "Oh uh. Just so you know the shower is yours next." she said to him and he opened one of his eyes. "I'm not going to bother taking a shower tonight. I'll do it in the morning." he said closing his eye once more. Sarah rolled her eyes and trailed off to Larisa. Men are always so disgusting she thought sitting in the chair next to Arnette.

Arnette frowned and said, " I'm sorry." Though she had no emotion in her voice. "Well," She said, starting to answer Larisa's question, " When I realized I was a mage, I left my home town to find a teacher. "I'd heard of Moro, but only of her power, and not of her methods of teaching." She said, clenching her fists slightly. She unclenched them and looked around the room before adding, " I suppose it's for the best though." She sighed, hating herself for having to say all of this. She decided to change the subject and said, " So, how did you all meet up? Have you known each-other for a long time, or was it just by chance?" She said, wanting to stab herself. (( She's not emo. xDD You'll see)) Arnette uncrossed her legs, then put her head in her hands. Just then, Raoul came out of the bathroom, completely clothed in his regular outfit. He was about to ask what was wrong with Arnette, when he spotted something on the ceiling. He jumped on a bed to get a better look at it, then squealed. He grabbed something small and black off of the ceiling, and hugged it. " Guess what it is?!" He said, jumping on the bed and hitting his head on the ceiling. Arnette raised her head and walked over to the excited boy. " Lemme see." Raoul opened his hand cautiously, then put them up to Arnette's face. Arnette couldn't hold it in, she wanted to force herself to scream, but she couldn't. " It's so cute!" She said, petting the bat's furry soft head. She then grabbed it and ran around the room, shrieking happily. Raoul looked at Arnette his eyebrows raised, then joined her. Suddenly, the two plopped onto the ground, staring at the small bat. " Is it a baby?" Raoul asked, looking like a little girl. Arnette smiled, " I think so. It can fly a bit though." She said, watching as the black bat flew from her hand to the empty chair where she had been sitting. " Daddy wanna pet the bat!" Raoul said, crawling over the bat and stroking it's wings. Raoul jumped back into reality and stared at Connor, then Cordon. " You guys are gonna take showers, right?" He said, eyes wide. Raoul then spotted Cordon's rose, and poked it. "PURDY." He said, sitting on the floor. He then started twirling in a circle. Arnette, however, picked up the bat and gently tossed it into the air. Using air magic, she propelled the young bat through the room, and landed it on Raoul's head. Raoul's eyes darted upward, and he laughed.

Larisa gave a small smile and closed her eyes. She had to figure out a way to keep the stones safe and keep her brother safe. She cleared her head and went through all the possible. She found one and frowned not liking it one bit. Then again it was better then her last resort plan and she opened her eyes. Sarah looked at the bat and pet it's little head. "It is pretty cute." she admitted and Cordon smiled. He went to the bat and put his finger to its' head. Within seconds a small plant formed into a circlet for its head. Next morning They rode out before the sun rose and walked in silence down the rode. Larisa was wearing her cloak again and she looked down at the map. They were going for the plant stone first since it was the closest and was about a day away in the middle of the forest. She rolled it back up and put it in her saddlebag. She looked back at the others and pulled down the cloth covering her mouth. She did a small spell so no one could listen in on them "Now each stone is protected and will be hard to get. For some there are guardians and others there are traps. We must be careful while we are near one." Larisa said sternly to the others and they nodded their head. She turned back and they continued to travel deeper into the forest.

Raoul nodded at Larisa's command, then reached into his bag. He pulled something out, then turned around, showing it to Arnette who was riding her horse behind him. "You brought him with you?!" She whispered. " Of course, and it's a 'she'." Raoul answered, smiling. Arnette raised an eyebrow, but refrained from askling how he knew that. Arnette noticed that Moro's necklace had come out, and placed it back inside her shirt. She carefully took the bat from Raoul's hand and pet it's head. " What should we call it?" She asked, smiling. " Hmm, hadn't thought about that." He said, scratching his neck. " How about Rouge?" He said, shrugging. " Sure." Arnette said, placing the bat carefully in her messenger bag where it would be safe and comfortable. The group rode on in silence, until it was broken when Raoul started to sing. " If you're riding a horse and you know it, clap your hands!" He sang in a high voice. He then clapped his hands, and immediately, Lithe moved forward at a quick speed. Arnette laughed then clapped. Her horse did the same thing. Raoul looked at the others, his eyes pleading.

Larisa laughed and clapped her hands. Moonlight stared at her not sure what to do since she was use to whistles and turned to the other horses. She saw them picking up speed and did the same. Sarah, Conner, and Cordon did it causing them all to rush forward to making them laugh. Will put his chin up stubbornly and picked up speed without clapping. "Will clap." said Sarah and Larisa nodded her head in agreement. "Oh fine." he said and clapped his hands together. Larisa stopped her horse immediately her eyes wide as she stared off to the side. "What is it?" Sarah asked but Larisa only dismounted. She walked through some bushes and branches. Sarah dismounted following Larisa and gasped. In front of them was a large ruin that had vines and moss all over it. She looked to the ground and saw rotting walls. All was silent here and the light was darker. In the middle of the structure was a large door that appeared to be blocked up by concrete blocks that were molding on top of it was a design of swirls and plants engraved in the blocks. Cordon, Conner, and Will walked in and they also had the perplexed look like Sarah. "I believe we are here." Larisa said walking up to the blocked door and she motioned for Sarah to come. "Put your hand right here." she said pointing to the center of the design and Sarah obeyed. There was a flash of light and then a rumbling sound. Larisa pulled Sarah away from the wall just in time before the wall crumbled into rubble. They walked in and was greeted with other doors that were the same and it looked like a dead end. Trees were everywhere and it appeared there was no roof to this ruin. A little boy stared down at them from a tree and giggled. He appeared to be around nine or ten and mud was all over him. His face was covered in dirt and his brown hair was ragged. Though his green eyes were clearly visible and he seemed really happy. He had white pants covered in mud and a green ripped short sleeve tunic. On his back was a large leaf that he was using for a cape and he had no shoes on. In his hand was a small wooden flute and he started to play a song. He giggled and jumped to the ground with amazing grace. Strings were tied to his fingers on his other hand and he moved them around even though nothing was attached to them. Three creatures fell from the trees surrounding the group and they backed up. "What the..." Conner said as he got a good look at the creatures. Their arms, legs, chest, and head were made of wood. Connecting them were leaves that moved in circles where joints were suppose to be and on their faces were engraved happy faces. Larisa threw three daggers at one and it fell to the ground disappearing in a whirl of leaves. Conner and Cordon attacked the others and the creatures were quickly defeated. The boy giggled again and jumped twirling in the air. He dissapeared in a twirl of leaves and appeared behind the group in front of a once blocked doorway. "Wasn't that blocked when we came in?" Sarah asked mainly to herself and the boy giggled before running into the doorway. "I think we follow him." Larisa said after a while.

Arnette stared around at the temple in wonder, studying the place and searching for traps. She spotted a place that looked very suspicious, and motioned for the others to stay away from it. She looked into the now unblocked doorway, and sent a a blast of light magic through the door. When nothing else happened, she carefully made her way through it, though her heart beat louder as she took each step. Arnette then entered a huge room that was very intricately decorated with vines that formed designes of leaves and words written in a different language. " I wonder what that says." She said, mainly to herself. She spotted the boy and watched as he skipped through the tunnel, a trail of leaves appearing from behind him and floating into the air as he moved. Arnette watched an amazement at the boy's agility and confidence, and jumped when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She grabbed the being behind her and raised a katana to it's neck. She rolled her eyes and lowered her weapon when she saw that it was only Raoul. Raoul stared at Arnette- eyes wide and backed away slowly. 'Raoul- NO!" Arnette screamed as the mossy floor started to cave in where Raoul was. Arnette thought quickly and did a front- flip, grabbing Raoul who was in midair. The two landed on their backs, Raoul still in Arnette's arms. Raoul looked down at Arnette and carefully got up, slightly blushing. " Thanks.." He said, starting at his feet. Suddenly four more creatures appeared from nowhere, and Arnette jumped up. She closed her eyes and whispered something to herself. Suddenly, Rapier appeared with a bright flash of light, the dog's eyes and markings glowing bright blue. Rapier quickly got to work, she bounced from wall to wall like a beam of light, then barked at one of the creatures, making it implode sending a shower of leaves cascaded in bright light towards the ground. Raoul pulled out a scythe and sliced one of the creatures in two. He watched as the beast fell to the ground and dissapeared before it hit it. Raoul looked around the room and noticed that it was a dead end, and that there was a wall that was constructed of one giant leaf. Raoul lost focus for a second, then stared at Arnette. Arnette closed her eyes again, then opened them as a blast of air sent the creature hurtling away in a million pieces. Rapier jumped at the last creature, and slashed at it with her claws and teeth, destroying it almost instantly. The boy that had led them to the room laughed and spun around in a whirlwind of leaves, he dissapeared again, and Roaul looked around. " What now?" He said. Raoul's question was answered when the huge leaf wall shattered into a bunch of smaller leaves. Rapier walked carefully over the leaves, then barked at the others, telling them it was safe to follow. The white husky padded slowly into the room, her senses sharpened by adrenaline and magic. Suddenly there was a quick blast of air, making her white fur ripple slightly as leaves billowed around her. She closed her eyes and laid down, making the leaves follow her to the ground. Arnette stared at Rapier, afraid that the leaves were forcing her to lay down, and that they were suffocating her. Arnette shouted, but the noise was drowned out by the magnified giggling of the boy, it's echo bouncing of the walls and filling up the room. She then sent a huge gust of air at the leaves covering her dog, and they dissapeared completely. Rapier slowly stood up, and looked around, her tail wagging slightly.

Larisa stepped though the leaves cautiously and entered another chamber with statues covered in moss. Sarah followed her and the others came in. They trailed the boy for what seemed like hours fighting the monsters that came their way and Conner didn't bother hiding his annoyance with the game. He tried to convince Larisa to let him target the boy himself but she firmly said no. Sarah, Cordon, and Will seemed unaffected by his attitude and were optimistic. There was a crumbling sound and a door to their right opened up. Cordon was the first to step through and gasped as he came out into a small clearing. Giant trees surrounded them and the air had little bugs flying through it. The boy was lying on the ground in front of a tree that had a small hole in it. He looked up and smiled at Cordon. He jumped to his feet and did a small bow. Cordon blinked and the boy started to fade away until he was gone entirely. The boys giggled seemed to come from everywhere "That was fun. Let's play again sometime." he said his voice gentle and full of happiness. Then the voice too faded away leaving only the sounds of birds chirping and the trees rustling in the small breeze. Cordon stepped to the tree with the hole in it and looked inside. On top of moss was a green stone with swirls en-carved in it and it let off a small glow. He looked at Larisa to see what to do and she nodded her head. He took the stone and there was a small green flash. Cordon swayed his vision black but soon it started to come back. "Are you all right?" Larisa asked rushing to him and he nodded his head. He looked to his hands and gasped when he found the stone was gone. "The stone..." he said looking around frantically but Larisa stopped him. "Uh Cordon. The stone turned into an earring." she said and unsheathed her sword so he could use it as a mirror. He took it and looked at his ear and indeed there was a green earring. "Do you feel all right?" she asked him and he nodded his head. "I feel great actually." and he closed his eyes concentrating on the forest around him. He could feel every plant and actually visualize it in his head. He opened his eyes and smiled. Larisa gave a weak smile "One stone down. Now let's get back to the road." she said making her way through the bushes. She made her way and stopped in mid step. They were behind the horses on the other side of the road "How..." she started but a small giggle made her stop. "That little kid was the guardian of the stone, right?" Sarah asked mounting on her horse and Larisa nodded her head. Conner got on his horse "Well that wasn't that bad. I believe the fire stone is next right?" he asked a smile tugging his lips and Larisa nodded getting on Moonlight. Will and Cordon made their way to their horses and Cordon seemed extremely happy. Larisa backed Moonlight up to Cordon "Tell me if you feel strange or different..Ok?" she told him and he gave her a puzzled look. He was about to ask why but something about Larisa's eyes made him stop "Alright." he said after a few minutes and she nodded moving back up to Sarah's side. What's wrong he thought his eyes trailing her and he mounted Horse! confused.

Rapier dissapeared into the shadows as Arnette and Raoul mounted their horses. " Fire huh?" That's a little scary." Raoul said, wondering if they were going to be attacked by flame based monsters. " Atleast plants can't burn you." He said, starting to ride. The group was riding through the forest when they heard a strange noise. It sounded like someone yelling, but it was muffled though it sounded rather close. " Ciel, what did I tell you about coming down just to snack!? Once we get there, you can eat all you want, but now- I have no idea where we are!" Raoul followed the sound of the voice while riding Lithe, and gasped when he spotted a massive creature. He knew it was a dragon at first glance, and he instinctly thought that the white dragon was Zeik. Only when he calmed down did he realize that this dragon and Zeik looked very different, though they shared the same scale color. Raoul cautiously rode closer, trying not to make a sound. Lithe shivered constantly at the sight of the dragon, and Raoul hoped that she wouldn't whinny. Suddenly, the dragon whipped her head around, and glanced at Raoul and Lithe. The look in her eyes surprisingly wasn't an angry on, yet one filled with curiosity and wonder. Ciel snorted, then turned back to Dahlia. " What is it?" Dahlia asked, curling up under Ciel's massive front leg. The dragon then stood up and pointed to Raoul with her nose. Dahlia gasped, and before Raoul could even breathe, he was paralyzed. Arnette rode up to where Raoul was and immediately sensed that something was wrong. She then spotted Dahlia, and instantly hit her with a binding light spell, which forced all of the dark magic from her body and made it so she couldn't move her arms or legs. Dahlia screamed in pain at the feeling of light flowing through her darkness based body. Ciel roared, then curled her own body around Dahlia, protecting her. " Who are you, and what do you want with us?" Arnette asked, making sure to keep far away from the dragon's reach. Dahlia looked up from under her hood and glared. " I am Dahlia Brook, dark mage and former Priestess. I was traveling along with my dragon when she decided to land for a snack. A while after I woke up, I noticed where we were and yelled at her, knowing that we are now lost. Ciel sensed something, and I spotted that boy over there, and - not knowing who he was or what he was doing- momentarily paralyzed him for my own safety." Arnette nodded and dropped her gaze. " I will let you go once you free Raoul- the boy." Arnette said, her voice sharp and serious. Dahlia nodded and freed Raoul, making him fall of of Lithe. Raoul brushed the dirt from his cloak, then led Lithe over to Arnette, where they would both feel safer. Arnette hesitated, then grudgingly let Dahlia free. " Now that I have told you my purpose and identidy, it would be polite to tell me yours as well. " Dahlia said, stroking Ciel's scales. Arnette blushed slightly, and opened her mouth. " She's Arnette." She heard a voice that was not her own and turned to find Raoul speaking instead of her. " I'm Raoul, that's Larisa, that's Sarah, that's Connor, that's Cordon, and that's....Will." He said, grimacing slightly. He was unsure weather to trust this girl and tell her that they were searching for the stones, so he said, " We were sent to retrieve something." Arnette grinned at Raoul's quick thinking and walked over to Larisa. " What should we do with her? Should we just leave?" She said, running her hand through her hair to make her look calm. Truthfully, she was frightened of this girl, solely because she was a dark mage, which would completely counter Arnette's own magic. Arnette smiled when she realized that she had three things that Dahlia didn't. Air magic, Rapier, and a group of battle- ready mages and warriors.

Larisa stared at the girl called Dahlia for a few seconds "I have an idea." she said to Arnette quietly and dismounted from her horse. "I see we got off on the wrong foot here. I do not blame you for what you did I myself would have done the same thing." she started out walking towards the dragon and the girl. She knew what she was doing was a risk but if it worked the results would truly be beneficial. "I think we could help each other. We have a map but will be slow in crossing this forest. You on the other hand have a dragon that can fly fast but no map. I think we can team up and you can fly us out of this forest to where we need to go. In return we will show the direction you need to go to get where you need to be." she said thinking of how fast they would be able to get out of this forest. "Do we have a deal? I can assure you that we will not attack you. There would be no profit in that." she said trying to disguise herself as a merchant who knew how to make a bargain. Sarah watched and smiled at Larisa's idea. It was brilliant to use the dragon while she would have just went separate ways. Conner hid his grin and kicked a rock as if bored but in fact he was interested about the conversation at hand. Cordon on the other hand was playing around with three plants and he listened to the plants around them. He heard theirs conversations and the joy when birds joined them. They all seemed to be interested in a game of making pictures with the leaves that fall off them...he thought petting a yellow flower who bloomed happily at his touch. He noticed that Larisa was off her horse and looked up to see what was happening. Conner who noticed that Cordon was actually paying attention and so he moved to Cordon's side. "Larisa is trying to get the girl Dahlia to let us use her dragon to get to the next stone. She's trying to make a deal of sorts." he whispered to Cordon who nodded his head in understanding now. Sarah calmed her Equis who was shifting uncomfortably with the dragon around. She murmured words of comfort to him and he finally settled down. She started to pet his mane and she waited for the dark mage to reply to Larisa's request.

Dahlia closed her eyes as she ran the words that Larisa had spoken through her mind once more. " It makes sense..and it's a very fair deal." She whispered to herself. " Fine. I accept your proposal and will give you a ride to the thing you seek in turn for the use of your map." She said, walking over to Larisa and extending her hand. Arnette nodded at the idea, then fished in her bag for something. She quickly found what she was looking for, and pulled out Rouge, who yawned wide and spread her wings. " I wasn't sure that you'd survived through that.." She said, recalling that she had had Rouge with her when she was in the ruins. The bat glared at Arnette, and chirped as she pet it's head. Arnette almost slapped herself when she remembered something- Rouge hadn't eaten all day- and possibly not last night either. Arnette stared at Rouge- trying to figure out if she was a meat- eating or fruit-eating bat. She then pulled down a peach from a nearby tree, and softened it a bit with her fist. She held the peach to Rouge, who jumped at the sight of the food, and started to devour it instantly. Raoul- however- had started to examine Dahlia's dragon. He walked over to her, and carefully held his hand out, trying to let the dragon smell him. Ciel looked at Raoul like he was an idiot, and snorted, making the boy fall down.

Larisa took Dahlia's hand and shook it firmly with her own. "We have to head West to the Fera Mountain. At its base." she said to Dahlia and looked curiously at the dragon. "Will we all fit on her? By the way what is her name?" Larisa asked and hid a laugh as Raoul fell over. Will who was near his horse smirked as Raoul fell and went over to him. He extended his hand to help him up and hoped Larisa would see him being a gentlemen. Sarah looked up at the dragon "A pleasure to meet you." she said politely to the dragon so she wouldn't be knocked over like Raoul. Conner laughed into his hand and wondered over to the others with Cordon. Cordon walked next to Sarah and did a bow to the dragon. "I'm Cordon a plant mage. May I ask what your name is?" he asked the dragon in hopes of making a good relationship with her.

Dahlia nodded at Larisa's orders then answered, " Yah, she can hold all of us." She then hopped onto Ciel's back and started to stroke the scales on the dragon's neck. " I'm Ciel." The dragon said, in a plain voice. She then stared at Cordon and said in a more serious tone. " I am a dragon." Ciel then bowed her head to both Sarah and Cordon, then laid down, letting the others get on. Arnette carefully borded the dragon after introducing herself, then fastened her belongings safely to the straps in Ciel's 'saddle'. " Wait! What about the horses?" Arnette said, noticing the worried whinnies that were starting to come from the horses. She then got an idea and conjured up Rapier again. " Rapier, I need you to guide these horses back to Moro's headquarters. Horses? I need you to follow Rapier. Don't worry, she's well trained and she wouldn't harm you." The horses stared blankly at Arnette, making her roll her eyes. Suddenly, Rapier darted off along the path, and surprisingly, the horses started to follow her. Arnette smiled then stared at Raoul, who remained on the floor. " C'mon Raoul, get it over with and introduce yourself so we can get going. Raoul crossed his arms, then closed his eyes stubbornly. Ciel snorted out a thick smoke, then carefully placed Raoul in her jaws then into her saddle. Raoul started shaking and hugged Arnette tightly- trying to stay far away from Ciel. Arnette laughed, but did nothing to stop the boy from hugging her. Finally- Ciel took off with a sharp command from Dahlia, and flew into the sky, her great pearl wings shimmering brightly in the light of the slowly setting sun. A few minutes later, Ciel landed at the base of Fera Mountain, and let her passengers off. Arnette jumped swiftly out of Ciel's basket, followed by Dahlia who slid down the dragon's tail. Raoul- however, caustiously tried to get onto the ground, and very slowly put his leg over the edge of the basket. Ciel, who was already annoyed by Raoul, shook herself, causing the boy to fall to the ground once more. Raoul glared at the dragon then shook himself off again. " That's three times since you've met Dahlia." Arnette said, smiling slightly. Raoul punched Arnette playfully and the group headed closer to the mountain. On the way there, Dahlia snuck over to Larisa. " What exactly are we here for? She whispered, " Don't worry- you can trust me. I think I'll probobly be staying with you guys for a while- I've got no where else to go." She said, digging her boot into the dirt a bit.

Larisa looked at Dahlia for a moment and found that indeed she could trust this girl. "Stones from a legend in Freeton. There are seven and the person we are working for wants them badly." Larisa said to Dahlia as they approached a large cave. They entered it and ran into an steel door with a picture of fire on it. "You know what to do." Larisa said to Sarah and Sarah approached the door. She put her hand on it and red lines appeared on the door. A sound like a vault being unlocked echoed through the cave and Sarah turned back to the others. The door is extremely hot I think there is lava below us." she said worrying about the fumes. "It's fine I know a spell that will protect us from fumes and stuff." Larisa said and closed her eyes concentrating. A shield went around each person and it was designed to protect the person from the fumes. "This is a shield that will protect you from the fumes but it will not block magic or physical objects." she told the others so they knew and she went to the door. She opened it and a gust of hot air shot from the door. She went inside and within minutes she was sweating. They descended into the cave and Sarah felt them going lower into the earth. There was a normal door and Larisa opened it. She walked onto a steel railing like cage that was suspended in the air above lava. It bubbled below them and Cordon shivered. He couldn't feel any plants in here and the lava made him feel uncomfortable. They made their way through the cage and had to climb down steel ladders. Will looked around and found everything extremely bright from the illuminating lava. Sarah on the other hand found it hypnotizing and beautiful. She knew that no matter what they faced that she would not give up searching for the stone. Sarah stepped onto the rock of the cave and off of the cage. The rock was suspended about a foot above the lava and was ten yards wide in a perfect circle. She turned around to the others "I don't like...." she was cut off when Larisa pushed her down just as a fire ball flew right where she was standing. Larisa gasped in pain as the fire ball grazed her left shoulder as she fell to the ground with Sarah. She clutched it in pain as it burned her flesh and clothing.(Fire hurts a lot just so you know if you haven't been burned before) There was a loud roaring noise and they watched in horror as the lava raised to form the shape of a large creature that was similar to a human. It had a large sword made of fire and black large spots appeared around it's body. A red dot in them appeared showing that they were in fact eyes all over the creatures body and it had one large on on it's head. Larisa pulled Sarah up with her other arm "Aim for the eyes." she shouted and dodged the giant sword coming down on her. "Will make ice arrows for Sarah!" she added pulling out her own sword. She did a simply spell and the blade of her sword turned to ice." she charged it swinging her sword at it. Conner pulled out multiple daggers and Will turned them to ice for him while he made Sarah ice arrows. He went to the other side of the creature and threw them at the eyes causing the ones that were hit to grow red. Sarah pulled out her bow and took the arrows made by Will. She aimed and hit the eye on the neck. She continued to shoot it and the creature howled in rage and pain. Cordon did healing spells for the group as the creature threw fire balls at them and tried to kill them with its' sword.

Arnette wiped sweat off of her head then thought of an idea. Using her air magic, she brought a giant gust of cold air into the cavern, and it circled continuously around the group- keeping them cooler. She then brought out a handful of daggers and shot them at 100mph using air magic to force them to that speed. The daggers all hit their marks, and Arnette smiled for a second before returning back to work. The creature suddenly threw a torrent of fire at the group without warning, and on instinct, Dahlia conjured up a wall of dark magic that protected them. " That'll keep out the fireballs, but you're still gonna have to watch out for the sword." She said, knowing that she wouldn't be much help on offence while doing this, but she couldn't let any of the others get burned. Raoul nodded to Dahlia and pulled out a twin set of boomerangs, which were strengthened with ice and air magic. He threw them skillfully at the monster, and hit his targets. Raoul caught each of the boomerangs, then swiftly moved over to Dahlia to protect her from the sword. The monster brought down the sword-realizing that fireballs no longer worked, and slashed at the group. Raoul did his best to dodge the blows, and each time the sword got near, he slashed at it with his scythe. " I have a plan- everyone, at the count of three, shoot at the eyes. Arnette and Dahlia- shoot for the largest one on it's head while the others shoot at different ones. Arnette and Dahlia nodded. " Dahlia, I'm going to need you to use magic, so for a second the shield is going to dissapear." He warned, looking around to see that everyone was ready. " Okay, one two three, FIRE!" He said, as the sound of magic filled the cavern. Raoul blinked and gasped when he saw that the monster had dissapeared into the lake of lava. " Where'd it go?" Arnette said, wondering if they had truly destroyed it.

Sarah lowered her bow after a few seconds and looked around at the lava to see if the monster would reappear. There was a rumbling sound and out of the lava came a small pillar with a red chest on it. Sarah walked to it and poked it worried that it was hot. Oddly enough if was strangely cool and she opened it up. Inside was a red rock like the one they found earlier and she touched it with her hand. There was a red flash and she got dizzy just as Cordon had. She touched her ear to see if the stone was there but it was not. She looked at her wrist feeling somehing cold against her skin and saw a red gem bracelet. She showed it to the others with a smile "Five more to go. Now lets get out of here." she said and they made their way out of the cave. Conner grinned happily and put his daggers away. The ice on them had melted away as soon as Will had stopped the spell for it. Will and Cordon smiled at each other proud of how well they did. They were greeted by a cool breeze which they appreiciated. Cordon went over to Larisa who had been burned on her shoulder and put some thick lotion on it. She realized it was a healing potion and nodded her head in thanks. She took out the map and stared down at it. She went to Dahlia "We should go for the water stone at the beach of Sween while the sun is still up." she said her voice dry from the cave. She drank some water to clear it "I don't think anyone is seriously hurt and we still have a few hours of light left." she said her voice normal now. Conner cleaned his face with a towl and handed it to Sarah who gladly accepted it. Will, Cordon, Conner, and Sarah sat on the ground relaxing in the breeze. They had lost some weapons and all were tired from the magical effort they put in. Cordon turned his head so he could see Sarah "How do you feel." he asked her recalling how he felt after touching a stone. "Pretty good. I feel like nothing could stop us from getting all the stones." she said after a few seconds and Conner tilted his head at how passionate Sarah sounded right then. Larisa who heard this glanced at Sarah real quick worriness in her eyes for a few seconds but it was soon replaced by a polite court mask. Will laid on the ground staring up at the sky his thoughts on Larisa and how well she fought. She'll make a great general I know it he thought as he tried to figure out what the cloud in the sky reminded him of. He smiled as it him. It reminded him of his home and how nice the weather usually was there.

" The beach of Sween, huh? It'll be pretty late when we get there, but if we fly fast they'll be sunlight for a while atleast." Dahlia said, recalling where the place was. Dahlia jumped on a rock then whistled loudly. There was a loud roar followed by a huge gust of wind. Ciel landed on the ground and bowed top the travelers. " Where to?" She asked politely. " We shall be traveling to the beach in Sween. We hope to get there before the sun goes down, so we're gonna have to fly fast." Dahlia said, jumping onto the dragon's back. " That's fine with me, but just make sure you guys hold on tight." The dragon said, grinning mischeviously as evil thoughts ran through her mind about how she could scare Raoul. Arnette climbed carefully over a huge pile of rocks, then slid down the other side, getting her clohes covered in dirt. She shook it off, then quickly hopped on Ciel's back. Raoul glared at the dragon, then slowly climbed up onto her back. Ciel waited for the others, then took off once more into the skies. " Next stop, Sween." The pearl dragon said, her eyes gleaming like sapphires. She then turned into a living lightning bolt, startling Arnette and making her quickly grab hold of the nearest handle. Ciel flew as fast as she could, her massive wings slicing her through the air. An hour later, everything went downhill. There were clouds everywhere, and it was pouring rain. Ciel wasn't exactly sure where she was, and lightning ripped through the skies, making Ciel flinch every time one struck. " You guys, I think we need to land." Dahlia said, knowing that Ciel would never admit she was scared or tired. Arnette shivered and tried desperately to put a barrier over the group and protect them from the rain. " Were all pretty tired from fighting that lava creature anyways, and I'm sure we'd all appreciate a good dry sleep. We can pick up slack tomarrow and get an early start on the day. Hopefully this storm will have passed by then as well. Ciel didn't wait for a responce. She dove through the clouds, hoping that her speed would protect her from the lightning. She finally slowed down when they approached the ground, and Ciel landed with a soft thud under a group of trees. Dahlia got off, and quickly got to work. She found a spot under a tree that was still a bit dry, and as fast as she could manage, she made a huge roaring fire. Ciel walked over to Dahlia, and folded her wings so they made a pair of 'tents'. " Boys will sleep under one, and girls the other." She said, yawning. " Yes, but first we eat." Dahlia said, as she started to roast chicken and boil some soup. Arnette climbed down from Ciel's back, followed by Raoul. Raoul sat dowhn near the fire, while Arnette helped Dahlia with the food.

Larisa sighed as she looked at th grey clouds between the tree branches and rubbed her head. She jumped up and landed gracefully on a large tree branch. She sat leaning against the trunk staring into the distance her face troubled. She took out her flute and started to play a complicated song. She created a strong shield around them that would prevent thugs but she made sure no one would sense what she was doing. Sarah went to Arnette and Dahlia "Need any help." she asked them a smile on her face. Will listened to the tune Larisa was playing and found a spot under the tree. He sat down and closed his eyes. After a few minutes he fell asleep rain drops hitting him every now and then. Cordon found some berries and brought them over to Dahlia. "These are healthy berries and will help with healing. We could probably put them with the food and they are sweat so add some good flavor to the meal." he said to her showing her the red berries in his hands. Conner stretched off to the side trying to get his muscles warm again and after a few minutes he took out his daggers. He then comenced in a complicated technique increasing speed as he went and soon his daggers became a blurr in his hands. Larisa opened her eyes and stopped playing. She couldn't shake off the feeling that things were going to go very bad for them if they continued searching for the stones. She stared down at Sarah and Cordon and was relieved to see that they hadn't changed much. She stared at the sky and her eyes turned a little grey as they reflected the sky not to mention her mood.
