Larisa chuckled softly "They sure are. This trip gets more interesting by the second." she whispered back and followed the others toward the wall. Sarah walked cautiously up to the wall and couldn't help but hesitate before she touched the wall. It was a huge rock wall and she didn't know if it would crumble or not. "What are you waiting for." a voice said knocking out of her thoughts and she jumped her hand landing on the wall. There was a flash of light and a loud rumbling sound. Sarah ran back towards the others in fear and looked back at the wall. The rumbling sound died and the wall started sliding down until the top was only an inch above the ground. Conner laughed at Sarah and she hit him playfully. They walked in and found that it was like an abandoned mine. They followed tracks and Sarah lit a torch on the wall. Will kept his distance away from Larisa and kept quiet. They entered a cavern and stared up at a giant stair way. Each step was about two stories high and they were smooth. Conner walked up to one and tried jumping onto it. His land caught the edge of the top and he brought his other one up. He then attempted to pull himself on it but half way up his hands began to slip. He cursed and fell down. "Errr." he said and the others watched amused as he tried climbing it. He then went over to Sarah "Can I borrow your staff?" he asked her and she nodded her head handing it to him. He then ran towards the first step and used the staff to hurl himself up. He landed on the first step grinning and slowly managed to make his way to the top. Finally after falling many times and the others laughing at him, he got to the top. On a small rock shelf was a brown smooth stone and Conner lifted it up. There was a flash of light and a giant bracelet appeared on his wrist. It was hard and very smooth. He lifted his hand up and stared at the designs on it.

Tai jumped down from her hiding place and landed directly infront of Connor, and she smiled. " Hiya Connor slash John! Ohh- I like your bracelet....can I have it? Thanks." She slipped the bracelet from his arm and put it on her own. " You're such a great pretend boyfriend." She said, pulling his close to her and kissing his cheek. She then pushed him, sending him falling down the smooth staircase. Tai laughed and climbed up a rope that suddenly appeared, and giggled as she dissapeared. " The Hell?" Raoul said, catching Connor in his arms as Tai disapeared. He quickly let go of the other boy, and he looked at the others, who looked as shocked as he felt. Dahlia immediately ran in the direction that they had entered, and when she got outside, she heard a terrible noise. It was the sound of roaring dragons. Yes....dragons. Plural. Ziek had Ciel's neck between his jaws and was trying to rip it open. Ciel, however, was clashing at Zeik's belly with her claws, trying to find a soft spot where his scales weren't protecting him. Dahlia scaled the mountain in record time, only to have daggers thrown at her when she reached Ciel. May grinned mischeviously, and threw three more daggers at Dahlia. Dahlia gasped in pain as one of them grazed her leg, and she looked down to see a huge cut that was spewing blood. Her mind only on saving her dragon's life, Dahlia sent a dark wave of magic at May, paralyzing her instantly. As Dahlia grew closer, she gasped again, but this time in horror. Azula was on Zeik's back, repeatedly digging her sword between Ciel's scales and laughing menacingly. Adrenaline took over Dahlia's body, and she jumped up at Azula, holding her sword to the girl's throat. She pushed Azula off and frowned when she saw taht Azula had survived the fall. She dug her sword, posessed by dark magic, into Zeik's neck, and the dragon immediately let go of Ciel. Ciel shoved Zeik off, and pinned him to the ground. Zeik struggled free, but didn't attack again. He gathered up May, Azula, and Tai, and took off into the sky at a slow pace. His left wing was ripped badly, and bleeding, but Zeik continued to fly.

The others rushed out of the cave, Sarah and Larisa supporting Conner who was almost unconscious from the fall. Cordon rushed forward towards Dahlia immediately tending to her wound. He healed it quickly and turned to the dragon. He looked over Ciel's cuts and took his magic stance. He then began to heal the dragon a feat that would have been near impossible for a normal mage. Ten minutes later, he finished sweat on his brow and looked at the dragon satisfied. All the cuts were now only scars and he sat down exhausted. He turned to Dahlia "You okay?" he asked worried. Larisa and Sarah had put a unconscious Conner down on the ground. He wasn't badly injured but he would have a major headache when he woke up. Larisa got up rubbing her temples as a headache of her own began to form. "Let's get to Shad. I think it's best that we all stay at an inn for the night." she said to everyone and Cordon nodded his head. "Yes, I agree. Along with that I think it's going to rain tonight and I don't want anyone getting sick." he said letting his doctor side show. "Ciel, Shad is only an hour away from here but if you fly us it should only take ten minutes or so. Are you up to it? You could relax in the forest right next to the town. The trees are very high and you should be able to find cover underneath them." Larisa told the dragon.

Ciel groaned and nodded. " If we must." After everyone had boarded, Ciel slowly ascended into the sky, her wings beating at a slow pace. When they arrived at the town, Ciel dropped everyone off at the Inn before going away to hide in the trees. She didn't know how she felt about staying alone for the night, and she showed it with her words. " If any of you want to visit me...I'd appreciate it." She looked down at Raoul, realizing that she'd rather be with him than alone. She shivered at the thought of it, then took off into the sky. Finding cover, Ciel landed swiftly under a cieling of trees. (( Ciel....cieling...)) She fell asleep after a few minutes of scouting the area to be sure it was safe.

Will handed the inn keeper the money and gave each person a key. "I've paid for one night and a dinner meal." he said and Sarah nodded her head appreciatively. She stared out the window and noticed that it had started to drizzle. She hoped that Larisa made it safely to Ciel and knew that she should gone with her to stay with Ciel. Larisa walked through the trees as her cloak got wet from the rain. She spotted the dragon and made her way towards her. She looked up at Ciel and realized that she was sleeping. Larisa lay down on the grass and put her hands behind her head. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She sat up and looked around her. Movement caught her eye and she quickly got up. She moved towards a tree her sword now out. Ark stood behind a tree "Stop don't move." he said and Larisa stopped. She felt that he was on the other side of the tree she was near. "What do you want?" she said pulling her hood off so she could see and talk better. "For you to stop searching for the stones." Ark replied now leaning on the tree and he felt Larisa do the same on the other side "As much as I would love to do that I can't. A person has something against me and I must play their game until I find a way to stop them." she said to the mysterious boy "Who are you?" she asked him and she heard him chuckle softly. "I am a guardian of the stones. My name is Ark. The stones are dangerous and you know that. I can help you and you can help me. I must go now but I will help if you want to protect the stones. Good bye." he said and Larisa ran to the other side of the trunk. She caught Ark's eye as he raced through the forest and a second later he was gone. Her face went red as she realized how cute he was. She turned away quickly and went back to Ciel. She lied down and found that she couldn't stop thinking about Ark. She shook her head trying to get rid of all thoughts about him and scolded herself. Ark landed on a tree branch and looked back at the direction of where Larisa was. He had heard she was beautiful but not that beautiful. He sat down trying to clear his head and get back to why he was there.

Ciel awoke with a start, and turned her massive head to see what had woken her. She snarled through her teeth and smoke billowed around her as she sensed the presence of a human, but settled down when she realized that it was Larisa. " When did you get here?" The great dragon asked, puzzled by the fact that she was there at all. She sniffed the cool air and snorted. " Who else has been here?" She said, her eyes showing only curiosity. Raoul opened the door to his room and sighed, knowing that he hated being alone. After a while, he became bored and went off to find Arnette. He knocked on her door twice, then opened it. Arnette was sitting on her bed with her eyes closed and Rapier curled around her. The scene was rather mystical, that is until Rapier opened an eye then closed it again with a sigh. " Um..Arnette?" Arnette opened her eyes and flinched. She had not expected Raoul to come into her room, though she looked pleased about it. " What can I do for you?" Raoul smiled and blushed slightly. " I got bored...and lonely." Arnette smiled back. " You aren't tired?" she asked, though she knew his answer. " Me? Tired? Ha. I'm just pure energy." With that he ran around the room. Arnette laughed as she said, " You can have Rouge tonight, so you don't get too lonely." Raoul stopped running and thanked Arnette. He then sat with her on the bed ( followed by an unpleased growl from Rapier) and they talked about their adventure that day. Dahlia opened the door to her room and smiled to herself. She put her things away safely, then took a shower so she'd be fresh and clean for dinner. She then turned out the lights, sat in the middle of her bed, and meditated- focusing on achieving a point where she almost became dark magic. She loved doing this, it made her feel alive. (( xD Sounds funny. Just that sentence)) She felt completely calm and content, and nothing could distub her or make her unhappy. This was one of the reasons she had left her church behind. She felt like her chosen path and dedication to religion had trapped her. It had been chosen for her, and it never seemed right. When she found out she was a dark mage, she immediately became obsessed with it, and since it was shunned by her church, she abandoned it to seek out a happier- more free life. (( Yes the post sucked completely, but I posted. Even though I had no ideas whatsoever, I just used random ideas that ended up sucking, but atleast you can post now. =) ))

Larisa turned her head to the side to look at Ciel "Well it's rather rude to leave you out here alone and I needed some time alone." she saiding looking back up into the trees again. She thought for a few seconds "A man came by, but he was no threat, nor do I know him," she said which was the truth but extremely undetailed "He just came and then he left." she finished. Conner yawned, changed clothes, and went to sleep. Cordon and Will on the other hand were playing a game of Risk and of course Will was winning. Cordon frowned deep in concentration and gasped as Will took out Loreng. He sighed "Fine you win. At least I still have Freeton left." he said standing up and Will shook Cordon's hand. Will grinned "Well we have a long journy tomorrow. We better get some sleep." he said and he left going to his room right across the hall. Cordon changed and attempted to sleep though it took him over an hour. Sarah and Conner did the same in their seperate rooms, but sleep came faster for them.

" I wonder what he wanted..." Ciel asked, her eyes closed again. She wasn't necessarily asking anyone, and this was made obvious by a sudden snore. The dragon quickly drifted off to sleep, though her senses were kept awake. After a while, Raoul decided to leave Arnette alone, but not before taking Rouge with him. He retreated to his room, where he undressed, and went to sleep while Rouge flew around the room, confused as to why her echoes kept attacking her. This of course was because of the walls, but the young bat knew nothing about these, so she spent most of the night screeching and flying around in circles. Arnette tried to meditate again, but when she found that she couldn't, she decided to go to sleep. Though she drifted off quickly, her dreams were filled with disturbing and rather confusing images. This caused her to wake up a few times, sometimes out of breath. Everytime this happened, she noticed that Rapier started growling and was contantly pacing back and forth across the room's entrance. Dahlia was having trouble as well, though it wasn't because of nightmares. She kept feeling sharp pain all around her body in different locations, but she couldn't figure out why. When the morning finally did come, the bursts of pain dissapered, and Dahlia got up and out of her room as quickly as she could. She sat in the lobby at a small table drinking some coffee and occationally forcing a muffin into her mouth.

Cordon woke up to the sound of a "thunk" and he gabbed his glasses. He put them on and turned to the window about three feet away. A green glowing butterfly was trying to get in and Cordon frowned trying to figure out what type of butterfly it was. A second later it was gone and Cordon shrugged it off. He got dress and entered the hallway where he saw Conner closing his door. They went out to the lobby where they saw Dahlia and Cordon waved still tired from the day before. Sarah joined them a minute later and so they waited for Arnnete and Raoul. Larisa opened her eyes to see sun beams shining through the tree branches. She got up and listened to the birds chirping. Water dripped from leaves and Larisa started to stretch out waiting for the others.

Arnette arrived a few minutes later, her shadow- Rapier- in her usual place. She sat down next to Dahlia and took a piece of her muffin, which she immediately ate. Dahlia stared at her accusingly and Arnette smiled. " Raoul, get your butt out here." She said to herself, pushing a stray strand of dark blue hair behind her ear. She sighed, then put her head on the table. Raoul appeared a few minutes later, dressed and looking overly ready for the day. Arnette raised her head and looked at him, smiling. " You look like you've had a good sleep." Dahlia groaned at this, causing Arnette to look at her. " Well, we should be finding Larisa and Ciel right now- we don't want to keep them waiting. " He said, grabbing two muffins. Arnette nodded, and they all walked outside and into the bright morning sun. Raoul literally skipped down the dirt road, not even noticing that enimies could be all around him, waiting to take him out. Dahlia shook her head at this, but Arnette laughed and ran to catch up with him. Ciel awoke and turned to Larisa, who she saw was awake. " We have company." She said, though no one could be seen or heard. She closed her eyes again and sighed, defiantly protesting the arrival of the morning.

Larisa looked around the trees to see if it was Ark again, but to her disappointment it was just the others. Sarah waved at her still a few yards away and Larisa returned it. "So how was your sleep?" Conner asked curiously as he neared by with the others right behind him. "Uneventful." she replied and took out an old map. She put it on the ground and motioned for the others to come look at it. "This is Shad," she started pointing to the center of the map "In the middle of the town is a great cathedral and that is where are next stone is. This one is going to be harder then the others so we have to be careful. We are probably going to need a lot of dark magic," she said folding the map back up "This is the light stone." she said after seeing Will's puzzled look. "Let's get going then." Sarah said optimistically and hopped onto Ciel. Conner followed and then Cordon who pulled out a plant book once on Ciel. Will stopped Larisa before she got on the dragon "I'm sorry about yesterday," he said his head low "I don't know why I did that." he added and Larisa turned away for a few seconds already knowing that the answer was because of the stone. "I understand." she finally said and got onto Ciel. Will smiled happily for a few seconds and the boarded the dragon murmuring under his breath "To Shad we go."

Ciel groaned and looked back at the others. " Can't we ride on someone else today?" When everyone laughed, Ciel sighed then thrust her wings rapidly before soaring into the sky. Once they reached the cathedral, Ciel landed directly infront of it. Raoul slid off of Ciel's back, followed by Rapier and Arnette. Dahlia patted Ciel on the head then apologized before leaving the dragon alone once more. Ciel took this as her chance and immediately went back to sleep. Dahlia went up to the door and gripped a huge silver knocker which she banged against the door twice. Almost immediately, the huge door swung slowly open with a loud creak, and Dahlia walked inside. She looked around and shivered. She felt like throwing up. This place combined two of the things she despised- religion, and light magic. She looked up at the raised ceiling and at the brilliant works of art and painted glass, though her expression of hatred and anger hadn't changed. Arnette, however, was fascinated by the place, and she stared in wonder at the walls and the paintings that adorned them. Raoul stared back and forth from Dahlia to Arnette, reaizing how different the two were. Rapier stuck close to Arnette, warily looking and growling deep in her throat.

Larisa walked into the cathedral and felt as if her senses were clogged up. Everything felt oddly distant and the only thing she could sense from the cathedral was light magic. A priest met with them about half way through the church "Good evening. Welcome to Shad's cathedral." he said to them happily. "Can you tell us a little bit about this church?" Larisa asked her own voice sounding distant to her. "Well uh to tell the truth our church has a bit of a dark history. About every year three people either die or go insane." he said sheepishly. Will shuddered and suddenly all the light energy in the cathedral made him feel sick. Isn't light suppose to be good and comforting he thought as they went into the church. "Can we see your basement?" Larisa asked and the priest stared at them for a few seconds. "Sure...,but there isn't much down there..." he said and led them through a door. He opened another that held a staircase and they walked down into the darkness of it. The priest made an orb of light and led them down. They reached the bottom room that held old paintings and spiderwebs. Larisa looked around and saw an old metal door that had a white picture on it that was so worn out that it was nearly impossible to see what the shape was. Sarah saw it and touched it. It opened inward and priest gasped from behind them. "PLease leave us. This is bound to be dangerous." Larisa told the priest and he immediately left. Larisa walked into the room behind the metal door and found that the walls were white and the floors tiled. There were two doors both metal and Larisa led the others through one. They entered another chamber that had a metal table in the middle of it and pictures of organs on the walls. There were shelves and many drawers. "This must have been an old hospital." Conner said and Sarah began to feel sick. This wasn't how the other stones were and this didn't seem to suite the light stone. Larisa felt something brush against her and she turned her head only to find a pair of grey eyes looking back at her. She stumbled back and the others looked at her puzzled. A few feet away from her was a beautiful boy near the age of 19 with white angelic wings. He had white pants on and no shirt. Around his neck was a gold necklace with a cross on it and his hair was golden yellow. "Hi there. Do you like my home?" he asked her his voice clear as day and Larisa found herself blushing. "Are you ok, Larisa?" Cordon asked worried, but his voice was distant and Larisa had to concentrate to her him. "I'm fine. I just thought I saw something." she said to Cordon and turned to the boy as the others searched the room. "It's just lovely. Who are you?" she said her voice low to the boy who apparently only she could see. "I'm what you would call the Angel of Death or whatever. Want to see something cool?" he said with a smile that made Larisa almost lose her balance. He flicked his hand and a portion of the ceiling above Conner started to fall. "Conner!" she shouted and he dived just in time to avoid it. Sarah helped him up and he looked at the ceiling. "Thanks Larisa. That would have done some serious damage." he said and Larisa nodded her head. She turned to the boy "What was that for? You could have killed him." she whispered furiously. He stared at her puzzled for a second "Oh! Your right! It's so much more fun to torture them first. I think I'm starting to like you. I haven't had anyone to play with in a while." he said and Larisa turned away from him. "We should get out of here soon." Larisa said and walked to the next metal door.

Arnette went through the door, her face expressionless. She felt someone breathing on her neck and laughed. " Raoul- get away from me." Raoul looked at her, " Okay...I didn't know that it was improper to stand ten feet away from someone." Arnette looked at him, then behind her. She saw a pair of bright yellow eyes belonging to a huge white lion-like creature. Suddenly, in a flash of light, the lion dissapeared. Arnette gasped and took out two daggers which she held close to her. " What is it?" Dahlia asked, concerned. " Nothing." Arnette answered. Arnette noticed that Rapier was growling loudly and her black eyes were shifting back and forth. They walked into the next room, which looked like a laboratory except that the only light was coming from a small flickering lamp on the table. Dahlia inspected a vile filled with bright green liquid then set it down carefully. As soon as she put it down- it turned from green to purple. " Weird." She said to herself. Suddenly it was like there was an earthquake, except that the ground wasn't moving, only the beakers and viles were. Dahlia looked at the lamp and saw that it was flickering vilently now. Suddenly everything stopped. Dahlia forced herself to breathe again, but it was a moment too soon. There was a huge deafening explosion and the containers exploded, shooting both glass and liquid all over the room. Dahlia threw up a shield of dark magic to protect her and her friends, but it didn't stop her form being scared. If ghosts were the culprits, no magic could defend them. When the clattering of the glass died down, everyone moved quickly out of the room. They entered a pure white hallway with many many doors lining the walls. The doors were made of solid metal, as if to obscure and silence the screams of the prisoners inside. " This place is creepy." Raoul admitted, recieving a nod from Arnette. " Where too now?" She asked, petting Rapier who still hadn't stopped growling.

Even though Larisa left the boy behind he still ended up finding her. He laughed "Man that was good. Your friends were sooo scared." he said and started laughing even harder. "Stop playing around. Where is the stone?" Larisa said below her breath and the boy stopped laughing. "Ahh. Don't be in such a rush. I'd be doing you a favor if I killed most of them. I know you really don't like Will and it's such a beautiful sound to hear someone hearts slowly stop beating. All you would have to do is to strangle him or stab him with your sword.." he said getting very close to her. Larisa took a step back and hit Conner who stumbled back. "Whoa watch where you step. Are you sure you are all right Larisa you seem kinda distracted..." Conner asked her obviously worried. "Uh I'm fine. I'm just sensing some weird magic in this place. Follow me I might be able to track the stone." she said and started towards one of the doors. The boy smiled at Larisa and opened the door that she had picked. Sarah gasped as one of the doors opened by itself and unconsciously went closer to Conner. Cordon pushed up his glasses and did his best to hide the knot of fear forming in his stomach. Larisa swallowed and walked into the next room. Like most of the others there was a table, but right next to it was a table which held knives that a doctor would use. The boy grinned and sat on the table. He pointed at the metal door to his right "The stone is right in there. You are going to love it!" he said and slowly started to fade out. Larisa walked to the door and saw that red paint was on the handle. She touched it with her hand and found that it was still wet. She looked closer and saw that it wasn't paint, but blood. "Is that..." Sarah said backing away from the door and Larisa nodded her head as shocked as the others. "I really don't think you guys should go in their..." she said even herself fearing what might be on the other side. "I'm still going in." Conner said stubbornly and moved towards the door. "The rest of you should stay here." Larisa said and opened the door. Conner and Larisa walked into the room and closed the door slightly so the others wouldn't see what lay inside. The room stank horribly and it was very hot inside, but it was completely dark. The ground was wet and Larisa created a small orb of light. She looked down to see what the floor was covered in and swallowed hard when she saw it red with blood. They continued for a few minutes until they saw a white glowing light up ahead. "Oh my god. I think I'm going to be sick." Conner said as they saw what the glowing stone was on. The light stone was on a metal table that was dripping with blood and right behind it was a hand holding onto the table. Larisa slowly touched the stone avoiding what lay on the ground on the other side of the table. There was a small flash when she touched it and she fell to her knees clutching her stomach as nausea fell over her. "Larisa!" Conner said and she put a hand out showing that she was fine. "I feel sick..." she said as she slowly got up. A white circlet that arrowed down between her eyes to her nose in the center was visible on her head and slowly she brought her hair out so it wasn't holding her hair down. Blood soaked through her pants on her legs where she had fallen and she could feel it against her skin. "Let's get out of this place." Larisa said still clutching her stomach and they slowly made their way to everyone else. They walked into the white room and closed the door behind them. Sarah gasped "Larisa are you all right!" she asked rushing to Larisa after seeing the blood all over her pants. "I'm fine and I have the stone. Please let's get out of this place." she said her face pale. Sarah nodded seeing the white circlet on Larisa's head and leaned closing to see littel black carvings in it. She then started to leave the horrible place.

No one dissagreed with Larisa, this place was scary, and very dangerous. Raoul felt relieved to get going, he had a feeling that everyone would've died had they stayed there longer. As soon as he burst through the entrance doors, he sighed as a load of worry fell from his shoulders. Dahlia felt alot better, seeing as she was away from the two things that she despised most. She made a little orb out of dark magic and played with it, a delighted smile upon her face. Arnette, however, was still worried about what had happened in the cathedral. " What happened in that room, and why is Larisa covered in blood?" Arnette asked Connor, realizing that Rapier has ceased her growling. As they walked down the street, Raoul spotted a little park and sat down at a table. Dahlia was confused as to why they were stopping, but joined Raoul on the bench. " So, are we going to rest? Larisa looks very pale and almost sick, besides the fact that she's covered in blood, and I'm sure we'll have time to get the next stone way before nightfall. Where exactly are we headed anyways?" He strummed his fingers on the table, then took Rouge out so she could stretch her wings. Surprisingly, the bat had no desire to wake up, and fell asleep on Raoul's shoulder after she bit him for waking her up. " What's up with you- didn't you sleep last night?" Rouge squeaked loudly, and glared at Raoul. " Fine, fine, I'll let you sleep." Arnette joined the others at the table, and listened while Rapier curled up around her feet. Ciel, who had been exploring the grand city, appeared from the mist, her wings spread as she sailed over the cathedral and down to the little park. " Are we RESTING now?" She asked with a sarcastic gasp. " We're not sure yet." Dahlia said, stroking the dragon's pearly scales. Ciel rolled her eyes, then closed them as she lowered her head. " Wake me up when I'm needed." She said, starting to snore almost immediately. Raoul laid his head on the bench. " Don't we only have one more stone?" He realized, his mood enlightened. " That means that we'll just have to give them to Moro, then we'll be done!" Arnette glared at him. " Why are YOU so happy then? Oh- that's right, you're free, you don't have to spend every day acting like a robot with zero personality." Raoul looked up at her, confusion in his eyes. " Aren't you done with training?" Arnette looked down. " Technically, but I don't think that she'll let me leave just yet." Dahlia listened in, intrigued by this new information. " You had to act like someone you weren't? I sure know how that feels." For once, Dahlia felt a bit sorry for the girl, despite her light magic. She had hated her days as a priestess, and knew the torture that Arnette had to go through. " Couldn't you leave?" Dahlia asked, causing both Arnette and Raoul to stare at her. " It's not that simple. Moro's very powerful, and I have to go back or else I might get killed. Sure it's torture, but it's better than being dead. I still have Rapier, and I only have to act when I'm around other people." Raoul noticed the pain in both of his friend's eyes, and tried to change the subject without making it too obvious. " I'm going to miss you all.." He said, realizing that once it was all over then they would have no reason to stay together. A frown formed on Arnette's face. " Why do we have to be seperated?" She asked, though she knew the answer. " I mean, we could find a way to stay together- couldn't we?" No one answered this, though Arnette could tell what they were thinking. She sighed, then laid her head on the table.
